You’ve stumbled on a weekly, quick-read journal you’ll want to bookmark and check every week. And why should you? Well, if you’re here, there’s probably a good reason. You’re either:

a) insatiably curious about what to read/watch/listen to next;

b) constantly seeking out the latest, novel or unexpected pleasures;

c) mildly interested in learning what a 39-year-old gay advertising copywriter thinks constitutes a fun time; or

d) none of the above (which is just fine, nobody’s perfect).

This is one writer’s forum to dish out passionate weekly recommendations & suggestions. And that’s it.

Like the vinyl-store owner Rob Gordon (John Cusack) says in one of my fave films High Fidelity (2000): “...what really matters is what you like, not what you are like...books, records, films—these things matter. Call me shallow but it’s the fu**ing truth.”

Well said, Rob.
